Tooly Dooly is a little list app for your household. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

• Your account. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name and email address. That’s how you appear to people you share lists with.
• Your lists. The lists, items, notes, dates, and photos you create are stored securely on our servers (Amazon Web Services, in the United States) so they sync across your household.
• Push tokens. If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can send them.
• Usage analytics. In the production app we record anonymous-style events — things like “a list was cleared” or “an import added 8 items.” We never send the contents of your items to analytics. What’s on your lists stays on your lists.

AI features

When you use Magic Import, the text or photo you choose to import is sent to Anthropic’s API to be turned into list items, then discarded. It is used only for that one parse — we don’t store it, and under Anthropic’s API terms it isn’t used to train AI models.

Voice add works differently: speech is recognized on your phone. We only listen while you hold the mic, audio never leaves your device, and nothing is recorded or stored — ever.

Sharing & Surprise Mode

Lists you share are visible to the people on them — that’s the point. On wish lists, Surprise Mode hides claims from the list’s recipient by design, so surprises stay surprises.

Who we work with

We use a small set of services to run the app: Amazon Web Services (hosting and sign-in), Google and Apple (sign-in), Anthropic (Magic Import parsing), Mixpanel (usage analytics), and Google Firebase / Expo (push notifications). We never sell your data, and we never share your list contents with anyone except the people you’ve shared a list with.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. Your solo lists are deleted for good; lists you share hand off to someone else on them. Full details are at toolydooly.app/delete.

Children

Tooly Dooly is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
